Tropical Pineapple Jelly

This is a very simple recipe.

15gm agar-agar powder
1000ml water
200gm white sugar (please adjust sweetness)
1 can of pineapple cubes, chopped to small bits
250ml pineapple syrup

  1. Mix agar-agar powder with sugar.
  2. Add in water and bring to a boil.
  3. Add in pineapple bits and syrups and bring to a boil.
  4. Turn off flame and let cool.
  5. Pour into mold.  Ensure it comes to room temperature and chill in the fridge.
Serve chilled.

A cool and refreshing jelly which I've made several time and served at pot-luck BBQ parties.  Everybody loved it.

Note : Do not to use fresh pineapple as the agar-agar will not set as this is due an enzyme ever-present in the fresh fruit.

Enjoy the refreshing dessert.
