What's for lunch, Mom?
Sounds familiar? Like most mothers, weekend is the time to catch up on housework, laundries/ironing, stocking up pantry and putting your love into the kitchen to feed the army…haha, in this case, an army of 3 only! :-D
Here’s one simple and quick lunch fix.
Here’s one simple and quick lunch fix.
Fried Rice with Ham
3 bowls of cooked white rice
4 pips of garlic, chopped small
3 slices of ham, cut small
2 tsp of light soy sauce (or to taste)
¼ tsp salt
A dash of pepper
1 ½ tbsp of sunflower oil
2 eggs, beaten
1. Heat oil in wok, stir-fry garlic till fragrant but not brown.
2. Add in ham, stir-fry till fragrant
3. Add in rice, stir and mix
4. Sprinkle soy sauce over the rice
5. Add a dash of pepper and stir-fry
6. Add in eggs and stir-fry
7. Dish up when the eggs are cooked and serve with salad or steamed veggies at the side
Another variation is frying together with ham and long-beans, and a little chilli sauce to spice it up!
Note :
Dish up fried rice into a small bowl, pack and press into bowl. Place a plate downside up over the bowl of fried rice, and flip both together with the bowl on top. Remove bowl ….
Voila! You get the rice in dome shape on the serving plate.
