Stir-fry Beansprout
>> Jul 25, 2011
Quickly I went out to get a packet for 40cents. Never mind that the cost of fuel! 8-) … it’s good to see him taking a few forkful into his mouth.
This is one of the quickest dish…trust me! :-D
3 pips of garlic, chopped small
1½ - 2 tsp of light soy sauce (to taste)
1 tsp of oil
1. Soak beansprout for 10 mins, rinse well and drain
2. Heat oil in wok till you see smoke rising from oil
3. Drop in the garlic, and within 3 seconds (garlic burns easily), splash in the light soy sauce
4. Quite immediately or within 3 seconds again, add in the beansprout
5. Stir-fry for 7 seconds, turn off flame
6. Dish up and serve hot with hot fragrant white rice
Note : This is the closest I get to Chinese-style hot wok! … :-) but still far from getting the wok on fire like some chefs do :-D
Don’t worry the above recipe will not set your kitchen on fire nor drench the kitchen with the sprinkler activation! :-)

your recipe is great, beansprout has a number of vitamins and minerals. I usually include some ground beef or pork and fried it with egg.
